Son tight-lipped as Spurs’ slump drags on with a draw

English Premier club Tottenham Hotspur’s Son Heung-min kept quiet against AFC Bournemouth on Saturday while the match ended in a draw.

On the road at Vitality Stadium in Bournemouth, Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino put Son up front instead of Vincent Janssen. Son, the league’s player of the month for September, has not registered a goal in October. Spurs have gone the past three matches without a win, tying with West Bromwich on Oct. 15 in a Premier League game and 0-0 with Bayer 04 Leverkusen in a UEFA Champions League match.

“He was preferred to Janssen but struggled to get into the game and was taken off just after the hour mark,” said ESPN after the match, giving Son a five-point rating.
