Mblaq’s awards found at market

A first place trophy won by boy band Mblaq was found at a flea market.

A picture and description of the trophy and other items from the band on sale at the Dongmyo Flea Market in Jongno District, central Seoul, was uploaded online. Among the items on sale was the first place trophy that the band received on the Mnet music program “M Countdown” on June 2010, a trophy they received at the filming of former SBS variety show “Strong Heart,” and a promotional CD with signatures of each member.

One netizen commented that this was an act of “stepping on the time and money” that was dedicated to the success of the band by the fans.

A representative from the band’s agency J. Tune Camp posted a message on the band’s official fan page on Oct. 16, saying, “We apologize for this shameful event. If anyone can send us the exact location of the trophy, we will assess the situation and provide an update.”

The agency said that the items were misplaced while they were placed in storage when the company relocated their offices.

Mblaq is currently on hiatus while two of its members are serving their mandatory military service.
