냉장고는 단연코 내가 가장 좋아하는 가전제품이다. 왜냐하면 음식을 보관해 두는 곳이기 때문이다. 우리 옛날 냉장고는 고물이었다. 소리도 크게 났고, 전기도 엄청나게 먹었다. 새 냉장고는 훨씬 더 마음에 든다. 그래도 문제가 있다면 냄새다. 김치는 맛있지만 눈이 매워지는 냄새가 난다. 어떤 사람들은 김치만을 위한 별도의 냉장고를 갖고 있다. 우리는 그럴 공간이 없다. 우리는 그냥 냉장고 하나로만 지내야 한다. 다행히도 냄새를 없앨 수 있는 간단한 해결책들이 꽤 많다. 또 냉장고는 다른 작은 물건들을 저장해 두기에도 좋은 장소이다. 어떤 여성들은 화장품을 보관하는 데 냉장고를 사용한다. 그렇게 하면 산뜻한 화장품으로 화장할 수 있다.

The refrigerator is far and away my favorite home appliance. That’s because it’s where we keep our food. Our old fridge was a clunker. It was noisy. It was an energy hog. Our new fridge is much more to my liking. One persistent problem is the smell. Kimchi is delicious, but it has an eye-watering smell. Some people have a separate fridge dedicated to kimchi. We don’t have room for that. We have to make do with just one. Luckily, there are many simple fixes to get rid of the smell. The fridge is also a good place to store other knick-knacks. Some women use it to store makeup. That way, they can put their face on with refreshing cosmetics.
