In celebration of Korea’s “memorial month” of June, Samsung Group staff and executives engaged in volunteer activities to commemorate the efforts of the country’s patriotic martyrs.

On June 11, 1,000 workers and family members from six Samsung Group affiliates including Samsung Electronics, Samsung Display, Samsung SDI, Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Samsung Card and S-1 Corporation visited Daejeon National Cemetery to honor the country’s fallen heroes and perform clean-up work.

A hundred university students from the Samsung Display Volunteer Group and students of Chung Nam Samsung High School also took part.
Along with this effort, 600 staff members and executives of Giheung Samsung Nano City paid visits to Icheon National Cemetery and the Korean War Memorial Towers in Gyeonggi all throughout the month to clean up the area.

And to honor the country’s veterans, workers of Suwon Samsung Digital City delivered “summer kimchi” to 500 families living in residences of the Korea Veterans Health Service.
