Park Hae-jin denies knowing Choi associate
According to the actor’s agency Mountain Movement Entertainment on Saturday, “Park is being associated to Ko Young-tae in online search results, which have had grave impacts on his image.”
The photo of the two in what is reported to be a host bar started circulating online on Friday. Ko is known to have worked as a host in a male escort bar where he met Choi, who is currently engulfed in a nationwide scandal for being suspected of controlling state affairs. Netizens have begun speculating whether Park was a male escort as well.
“The person in the photo is indeed [Park],” said the actor’s agency. “However, he wasn’t aware that the person next to him was [Ko] until just recently… these rumors have led not only to his defamation but also psychological damage as well.”
The agency ended their statement by promising to take drastic measures against those spreading malicious rumors. The statement, however, was taken down from their homepage shortly after being uploaded online.
