Hyundai’s Grandeur sets record for sales on first day

The latest version of Hyundai Motor’s full-size sedan Grandeur set a record for first day sales, the company said Thursday. After presales began on Wednesday, a total of 15,973 units were sold, beating the previous record of 10,827 car sales set by the YF Sonata in 2009. The record also beats the average monthly sales of full-size sedans in Korea this year by over 5,000 units, according to the company.
