Hyundai Department Store hosts food festival in Berlin

Hyundai Department Store is hosting a “Korean Food Festival” inside Berlin’s Kadewe Department Store through Saturday to promote traditional Korean food.

Established in 1907, Kadewe Department Store is the largest department store in Germany, with a max 180,000 visitors per day.

Since Sunday, over 30 traditional Korean products including sauces, bean paste, alcohol and sesame oil have been sold at Kadewe’s grocery section. Products from Myung-in Myung-chon, a food brand developed by Hyundai with traditional food experts, are also on sale at Kadewe.

During the event, a Korean chef will cook popular dishes like bibimbap (a mixed rice bowl dish) using traditional sauces to give German customers a taste of food made from the ingredients sold.
