Seoul Independent Film Fest kicks off Dec. 1

The Seoul Independent Film Festival is back for its 42nd year.

The event will hold its opening ceremony at the CGV in Apgujeong on Dec. 1, and will be hosted by actors Kwon Hae-hyo and Ryou Si-hyun.

The 114 films to be featured at the film festival will also be screened at the Cinematheque Seoul Art Cinema theater and Independent Film House Indie Space theater for a total of nine days.

The festival will also provide opportunities for moviegoers to interact with the cast and producers of various films as well as attend panel discussions and forums.

One of the more anticipated films to premier at the festival is director Park Suk-young’s latest in his three part “Flower” film series. The director won the Grand Prize as well as the Independent Star Award at last year’s festival for his film “Steel Flower.”

Tickets for the event are available online now.
