Former idol member Nam Tae-hyun of boy band Winner shared his thoughts with a handwritten letter on Instagram.
Following the announcement of his departure by YG Entertainment on Friday, the singer expressed both sorrow and gratitude to his fans online.
“I was incredibly happy for the love I received as a member of the group Winner,” he said. “Though this decision came about after a long meeting, I still intend on doing what I love, and will meet you all through another outlet.”
While the letter was uploaded on Saturday along with a selfie, the message was deleted as of Monday.
The singer’s agency announced that the group would continue to exist with four members after determining that Nam would be unable to remain.
The company previously said in October that the singer would take a temporary hiatus due to struggles with mental health.
