A crowded field


The number of Koreans preparing for jobs surpassed 700,000 in May, the first time in Korea’s history, according to Statistics Korea on Thursday. Data by the statistics agency showed 735,000 people were preparing for jobs, including studying for public service exams and vocational training. The figure rose 13 percent compared to a year earlier. [YONHAP]
