Doosan Heavy operating income shoots up 25% in Q3
Doosan Heavy Industries and Construction, Korea’s leading desalination plant builder, said Friday that its third quarter operating income shot up 25.5 percent from a year earlier.Operating income reached 196 billion won ($176 million) in the July-September period, compared to an operating profit of 156 billion won a year earlier, it said in a regulatory filing.
Sales jumped 13 percent on-year to 3.48 trillion won.
But Doosan Heavy suffered a net loss of 10 billion won in the third quarter, shifting from a net profit of 74.3 billion won a year earlier, it added.
In the January-September period, net profit plunged 95 percent year-over-year to 11.33 billion won from 220.50 billion won, the filing showed.
