INU offers grants to foreign students

Incheon National University (INU) introduced a new financial scholarship program to attract outstanding international students starting with 2018 spring admissions. It began accepting 2018 applications from international students on Nov. 3.

Newly registered students may apply for this need-based scholarship to receive 50 to 100 percent of their tuition fees in scholarship money, depending on their department and academic achievement. If students maintain a GPA average of 3.0 or more, they may even receive the scholarship until graduation. If a student is found to have lied about his or her financial situation, however, INU can rescind the admission offer. An official from INU said, “A scholarship system like this is already being carried out by universities like Harvard in the United States. Through this system, we hope to encourage high academic success among our students, make our university more international and produce outstanding graduates.”
