Hyundai partner with Michelin on all-season tires

Hyundai Motor will partner with Michelin, a French tire company, to develop tires for its future vehicles.

Korea’s No. 1 automaker announced on Wednesday that it has signed an agreement with the French tire maker to supply tires for electric vehicles as well as those for the new Genesis G80.

The two companies will jointly develop all-season tires for the electric vehicles that Hyundai will launch after 2020. Hyundai said through a statement that it expects their joint effort will be able to maximize the fuel efficiency as well as performance of its electric cars.

For the Genesis G80, an executive sedan made by luxury brand Genesis, the cooperation between Hyundai and Michelin will focus on increasing the ride quality while minimizing noise and vibration.
