Major award show hosts announced
Actress Choo Ja-hyun has been selected as the host of the 2017 SBS Entertainment Awards, while comedian Shin Dong-yeob and actress Lee Bo-young will be the hosts of 2017 SBS Drama Awards.
Choo has been starring on the SBS variety show “Same Bed, Different Dreams” with her Chinese husband Yu Xiaoguang. Choo has mostly worked in China and after starring in the movie, “The Temptation to Go Home,” (2011) she became extremely popular in China.
Speaking fluent Chinese, she has starred in several Chinese movies and was even given the International Cooperation Award at the 2012 CCTV TV Star of the Year Awards.
Shin is currently appearing on SBS variety show “My Ugly Duckling” and won the grand prize at the 2016 SBS Entertainment Awards.
Lee played the leading role in the SBS drama “Whisper,” which wrapped up in May 2017. In 2013, she was the host of the SBS Drama Awards and was awarded the grand prize for her role in “I Can Hear Your Voice” with actor Lee Jong-seok.
