SM single will feature JonghyunA new single featuring K-pop group SHINee’s late Singer Jonghyun will be released at 6 p.m. on Friday, according to his agency Thursday.
“Dear My Family,” a live recording of a song sung at concert various SM Entertainment artists, will be released as part of the company’s weekly digital release program Station, the agency said.
The recording of the R&B ballad, originally from SM producer Yoo Young-jin’s 2001 solo album, was taken from a concert held in Tokyo in August 2016. It features Jonghyun, along with other SHINee members as well as other SM Entertainment groups, including Girls’ Generation, EXO, Red Velvet and NCT.
“The release is in part a tribute to Jonghyun, as fans will be able to listen to his voice,” the company said in a statement. All proceeds will be donated to the United Nations Children’s Fund.
