Diageo Korea launches 9th Cool Drinker Campaign

Diageo Korea launched its ninth Cool Drinker campaign on Thursday at the Four Points by Sheraton Seoul in central Seoul.

Through Wednesday and Thursday, the local distributor of the U.K. liquor company invited 50 student ambassadors to mark the start of the annual campaign.

Since 2009, Diageo Korea has conducted a public campaign to encourage safe drinking among university students with the help of ambassadors in that age group.

For the next five months, the selected ambassadors will hold various programs and education sessions on safe drinking in approximately 30 colleges. To start off with, they received education that gave them a chance to look back at their own drinking habits.

“College is an important stage in life where people first learn to behave as responsible adults,” said Kim Young-jin, Diageo Korea’s corporate relations director.

“I think it’s our role to make sure that we help university students develop a responsible habit when it comes to drinking.”
