Jung Eun-young, president of HSBC Korea, left, and Yoon Sei-woong, chief executive of the World Wildlife Fund Korea, hold up an agreement on the bank’s participation in a wetland revitalization project at the bank’s headquarters in central Seoul on Tuesday. Over the next two years, bank employees will volunteer and participate in workshops about habitats along the Han River in Seoul and the tidal flats of Taean County, South Chungcheong. “HSBC Korea has been participating in environmental activities on the belief that nature is an important asset that should be passed onto the next generation,” Jung said. “Through this project, we hope to raise the public’s awareness on protecting water resources, in which the global community has shown strong interest.” [HSBC KOREA]
