McDonalds raises prices on some items up to 300 won

McDonald’s Korea said Tuesday it will raise the price of some of its products by up to 300 won ($0.27), effective Thursday.

The products affected by the price hike include 12 burgers, five breakfast items, four sides and desserts and six beverages. The increases average 4 percent. Bic Macs will cost 4,400 won and McSpicy Shanghai Burgers 4,500 won, up 100 won. McLunch set menus, most of which range from 4,000 to 6,000 won, and Happy Value Meals, which range from 1,000 to 2,000 won, will remain the same price.

“This price adjustment was an inevitable decision we made to provide the best products and service given the rise in overall costs,” said McDonald’s Korea in a release. “We limited the price increases to 100 won for most of the affected products.”
