On Feb. 11, Ottogi’s Jin&Jiny PyeongChang cheerleading squad rooted for speed skater Lee Seung-hoon in the men’s 5,000-meter event at Gangneung Oval.

The skater finished fifth in the race, but not before 30 Jin&Jiny cheerleaders held various events on the sidelines of the match to promote Ottogi’s Jin Ramen and root for a gold medal. Three teams of cheerleaders carried signs with encouraging words, filmed people cheering and promoted the race on social media.

The Jin&Jiny PyeongChang team began its activities on Dec. 1 and includes people between their 20s and 40s. They have been completing missions centered around promoting Jin Ramen at the Olympics, including cheering on the speed skating team and athletes in other events.

Ottogi is an official supporter of the PyeongChang Winter Olympics and has been providing ramen to athletes and visitors. The Olympic emblem has been attached to all Ottogi products, and the food maker recently launched a limited-edition 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics Jin Ramen Gold Edition representing the gold medal hopes of the Korean team.

“Jin&Jiny PyeongChang has turned out to be a good opportunity to promote Ottogi Jin Ramen,” a company official said. “The cheerleaders will proceed with new events, support the national team and root for a successful Winter Olympics in PyeongChang.”
