FSC Chairman Choi meets Indonesian counterpart

Choi Jong-ku, chairman of the Financial Services Commission, visited Indonesia to discuss cooperation in the financial sector with Wimboh Santoso, chairman of Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority.
The trip, which started on Sunday, is part of the Moon Jae-in administration’s diplomatic initiative to strengthen commercial, cultural and interpersonal exchanges with Asean countries to the level of those with the United States, China, Japan and Russia, according to a statement by the regulator on Tuesday.
Choi met the chairman Tuesday to deliver Korean financial companies’ requests to the Indonesian regulator regarding challenges and the business environment in the Southeast Asian country.
The two leaders agreed to regularly hold meetings and cooperate in the area of financial technology.
