Jang Moon-bok drops debut album

Jang Moon-bok, a contestant from the second season of the popular idol competition program “Produce 101,” released his very first mini album called “Peeps” on Tuesday.

Jang was a viewer favorite on the program which aired in spring 2017. Although he did not make it as a member of the show’s final group, Jang signed a contract with O&O Entertainment and has returned to the spotlight with his new album.

The album’s name “Peeps” comes from the American slang word which is short for “people,” and the project is made up of songs about his friendship with people he has met in the music industry.

Jang was a strong candidate for the number one spot in the competition show, but he failed to make the final cut. After the show, the singer appeared on many variety shows and signed a contract to model for L’Oreal Paris. In November of last year, he sang a duet with singer Sung Hyun-woo on the song “Don’t Be Afraid,” which officially kicked off his music career.
