Rain, Lee Dong-gun to star in drama

Singer-actor Rain, left, and actor Lee Dong-gun will play the leading roles in the upcoming JTBC investigative action drama “Sketch.” This TV series will air in May and it will be the first time the two actors have worked together since their 2003 KBS2 drama “Sang Doo! Let’s Go to School.”

This is Rain’s first TV drama series since he married actress Kim Tae-hee in January 2017. He will play the role of Kang Dong-su, a top detective at Seoul Jungbu Police Station.

Actor Lee is set to play Kim Do-jin, a sergeant in the Special Forces who plans to take revenge against the person who murdered his pregnant wife.

“Sketch” is being produced by a team familiar with crime and action dramas. The drama is written by Kang Hyun-sung, who wrote the movie “The King’s Case Note,” and is being directed by Im Tae-woo, who helmed the JTBC drama series “Yuna’s Streets.”
