Volunteer firefighters from across North Chungcheong stage a rally at Jecheon Citizens’ Hall on a rainy Monday calling for leniency toward firefighters who were dispatched to a multistory sports complex where 29 people died in a fire last December. The firefighters have been blamed for failing to rescue people, but the volunteers argue that no firefighters will run into rescue situations if they are punished. [YONHAP]
