Wanna One tops charts with latest album

테스트

Boy band Wanna One’s new mini album “0+1=1 (I Promise You)” placed No. 1 on the week’s top-selling albums list, according to Hanteo Chart, the nation’s biggest album sales tracker, on Monday.

The group’s album sold up to 389,180 copies from March 19 to 25. Although the number is only about half of the album’s pre-sales, which was 700,000 copies, the fact that the group sold 300,000 in its first week is a surprise.

The group faced many issues before and during the release of their latest album. Ahead of the album’s release, their lead single “Boomerang” was leaked before it was supposed to premiere. On top of that, the boys were caught making inappropriate remarks during Mnet’s “Star Live,” a live web broadcast, on March 19, and were heavily criticized by fans.

Meanwhile, SM Entertainment boy group NCT placed second on the week’s top-selling albums list with “NCT 2018 Empathy,” which sold 40,982 copies. By Sung Ji-eun
