Singer and actor Joy of the girl group Red Velvet will not participate in a concert in Pyongyang due to a previously scheduled shoot for the MBC drama “The Great Seducer,” according to local news outlet My Daily on Friday.
After Red Velvet was invited to perform at a concert in Pyongyang, their agency SM Entertainment did their best to make sure that all the group’s members would participate.
However, the production team for the drama was concerned about a possible delay that might occur if the star participated in the concert. As a result, the singer will not take part in the concert.
The event in Pyongyang will feature 11 South Korean artists and is scheduled to take place on April 1 and April 3. In addition to Red Velvet, the line-up of artists to perform include Seohyun, a member of Girls’ Generation, the rock band YB, singers Baek Ji-young, Jung-in and Ali, as well as Cho Yong-pil, Lee Sun-hee and Choi Jin-hee.
Red Velvet will be performing their hit songs “Red Flavor” and “Bad Boy.”
