Hyun Bin is making a return to TV
After three years of solely starring in movies, actor Hyun Bin is returning to television in the upcoming tvN drama series, literally translated to “Memory of Alhambra.”“Hyun Bin has been cast as the main protagonist Yu Jin-u in our new drama which will air in the second half of this year,” said a representative from tvN.
Hyun’s character Yu is an adventurous and competitive man who used to be a doctor of engineering and later becomes the chief executive officer at an investment company. The drama is about Yu getting tangled up in an unexpected situation after arriving in Granada, Spain for a business trip.
The production crew said they chose Hyun as their lead because the actor is “both masculine and warm-hearted, which are characteristics that will best portray Yu in this action-romance drama.”
Hyun’s most recent TV series were “Hyde Jekyll, Me” (2015) and “Secret Garden” (2010).
