Ryu has start pushed up
due to teammate’s illness
Los Angeles Dodgers’ Korean pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin has had his start pushed up by a day due to a teammate’s illness.
The Dodgers announced Sunday that Ryu and Alex Wood would swap their starts for the upcoming two-game series against the Oakland Athletics.
Ryu had been scheduled to start Wednesday, a day after Wood. But Ryu will take the mound Tuesday instead, after Wood came down with food poisoning and missed a scheduled bullpen session Sunday. Manager Dave Roberts said Wood would need an extra day to recover.

Korean women’s volleyball team loses All-Star game
The Korean All-Star team came up just short of winning the All-Star game against Thailand in front of a sellout crowd at Hwaseong Indoor Arena in Gyeonggi on Sunday.
Despite losing the first set, Korea made a great comeback in the next two sets, winning 25-13 and 25-11. However, the comeback didn’t last long, as Thailand won the next two sets. During the fourth, Thailand had four serve aces to take a big 15-6 lead.
Despite the loss, Kim Hee-jin scored the most points, at 18.
