Snowballing scandal
Lawmakers and members of the Bareunmirae Party stage a rally on the main stairs of the National Assembly on Wednesday to denounce the ruling Democratic Party (DP) for an online manipulation campaign allegedly carried out by DP members. The main opposition Liberty Korea Party (LKP) urged an independent counsel investigation into allegations that a person linked to a key DP lawmaker manipulated online comments for political purposes. The LKP has already submitted a bill calling for the appointment of a special prosecutor. [YONHAP]
