Computex tech fair to open in Taipei on June 5

The 38th edition of Computex, Asia’s biggest tech fair, will take place in Taipei from June 5 to 9 and feature a range of cutting-edge technologies.

Over 1,602 companies from 28 countries are taking part. Some notable participating companies include Amazon, Intel, Nvidia, Microsoft and Acer.

Korean exhibitors and buyers have been expanding their presence at the fair over the past several years, according to Fang-Miao Lin, deputy executive director of the Taiwan External Trade Development Council.

Last year, Korean visitors were among the top four by nationality, she said in a press conference on Thursday in Seoul.

Korean start-ups will have their own booth at InnoVEX, a space within the exhibition hall specifically devoted to start-ups.
