Jung Sang-soo accused of sexual assault
Rapper Jung Sang-soo found himself possibly in trouble with the law again on Wednesday after he was accused of sexual assault.An anonymous woman told police in Ilsan, Gyeonggi, “I was raped by Jung when I was drunk at home in the early morning on Sunday.” She explained that she didn’t know she was assaulted until later on because she was under the influence of alcohol at the time.
The police are currently investigating the case and will soon verify whether the woman’s allegations are true through the Sunflower Center, a support center for sexual assault victims.
On the same day, Jung denied the accusation, telling local media outlet Edaily, “The woman and I had sexual intercourse under consent.” He added, “It is true that I brought her home when she was drunk, but we had sexual intercourse when she woke up. [I] did not force [her].”
Jung has been booked a total of five times in the past year for offenses including assaulting a police officer and drunk driving.
