Honne, Chvrches to perform at Sound City
The first wave of acts begins with Honne, a duo focused on electro-soul music. The duo gained popularity in Korea when their debut track “Warm on a Cold Night” appeared in a local commercial. The summer festival will mark their third performance in Korea, following a concert in 2016 and an appearance at the Seoul Jazz Festival in 2017.
Chvrches is a synthpop band that incorporates diverse music genres into their sound. The group rose to fame in 2013, when they were listed on the BBC’s “Sound of 2013” list. This will be the group’s second visit to Korea.
The festival will take place at the SK Olympic Handball Stadium in Olympic Park, eastern Seoul, from July 27 to 29. Tickets will go on sale on May 16.
