Samsung ties with Dollar Tree on brand reputation

Samsung Electronics ranked 19th in a U.S. brand reputation survey, industry data showed Monday.

The Korean tech giant was included on the top 25 list of reputable companies in the United States in the survey conducted by industry tracker Morning Consult. Among foreign-based firms, it was the third-most popular brand.

Samsung shared the spot with U.S. home improvement and appliance company Lowe and Dollar Tree, a discount store company.

The America’s Most Loved Brands survey was conducted on 250,000 U.S. consumers over the January-March period this year.

Japan’s electronics giant Sony stood as the most popular foreign firm at seventh place, and Britain’s personal care brand Dove followed at 17th place, the research showed.

U.S. IT giant Google topped the list, followed by chocolate manufacturer The Hershey Company and foodstuffs maker Pillsbury Company.

Online retailer Amazon and delivery service provider United Parcel Service were also included on the top five list. Microsoft was included on the chart at 25th place.
