Kumho launches first new tire since Chinese takeoverKumho Tire introduced a premium tire dubbed the Majesty9 Solus TA91 on Wednesday in the Korean market. It is the first new tire the company rolled out after it was sold to China’s Doublestar last month.
The Majesty9 is an addition to Kumho’s Majesty Solus line of premium tires. The new version is more comfortable for passengers and creates less noise than its predecessor, according to Kumho.
The tire is suitable for midsize, large and luxury sedans.
The new tire comes in 47 different models, ranging from 16 inches to 20 inches in size.
The company said the release is a first step in getting its business back to normal. For now, the tiremaker plans to focus on bolstering sales of its new premium tire. It is preparing to launch another new release in July.
