Jodie Foster takes on ‘Hotel Artemis’
Jodie Foster is back on the big screen for the first time since 2013 in “Hotel Artemis.”
The 55-year-old actress stars as the head of a hospital for criminals in the near-future set thriller. Dave Bautista, Sterling K. Brown and Jeff Goldblum are also part of the large ensemble cast.
Foster got writer-director Drew Pearce’s script before it was even officially being sent out to actors. She says she reads everything written for a certain age range regardless of whether it’s male or female, and believes this role provided her with an opportunity to make a full transformation into her 70-something character.
“Hotel Artemis” opens in the United States on Friday.
