Kakao Bank will waive ATM fees for another year

Kakao Bank, Korea’s second internet-only bank, will waive fees at any ATM in the country for another year, the bank said on Thursday.

Kakao Bank is an online bank created by a consortium led by the operator of Korea’s top messenger app, Kakao.

Since it opened in July last year, the bank has offered free cash withdrawals, deposit and money transfers at any ATMs in the country, one of the main perks of using the bank’s service.

Kakao Bank originally said it would provide the service for one year, until the end of this month, but it decided to extend it for another year to June 30, 2019.

Kakao Bank also provides free money transfers through its mobile app to customers.
