Hwang Hyun-hee gets married, expects child
Comedian Hwang Hyun-hee, 37, tied the knot on Sunday with a bride 13 years his junior.Reported to be working for an advertising company, the bride and Hwang dated for a year before they married.
“A new valuable life has gotten to join the couple’s wedding,” Hwang’s talent agency IOK Company announced Sunday, referring to the bride’s pregnancy. “They are thrilled to have found out about the upcoming baby following the meeting between the families of the bride and the groom.”
The bride is currently in the second month of pregnancy.
Held privately with the attendance of only family and close acquaintances, the wedding was hosted by Hwang’s fellow comedians Park Seong-ho and Kim Dae-beom. Singer-turned-producer The Name, known for his song “Please Find Her,” performed for the couple.
Having debuted as a KBS comedian in 2004, Hwang has gained fame through his satirical jokes, featured in KBS2 TV’s flagship comedy program, “Gag Concert” (1999-present).
