Katrina Lenk wins Tony for ‘Band’s Visit’
NEW YORK - Katrina Lenk has won the Tony Award for best actress in a musical for her work in “The Band’s Visit.”
In the musical, Lenk plays a cafe owner who helps a lost Egyptian orchestra in a small Israeli town. Before rehearsals for the Broadway production, Lenk travelled to Israel and visited Yeruham, the town that inspired the story.
Lenk has previously appeared on stage in ”Indecent,” “Once” and “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.”
