Korea’s leading media and content company CJ E&M said Friday it plans to produce 4,000 original digital programs a year in the future as people increasingly turn to smart devices for a large portion of their media consumption.
The company said it will produce content optimized for digital platforms through its digital content studios, such as tvN’s “Heung Bakery,” Mnet’s “M2” and Style Channel’s “Studio Onstyle.”
The annual figure works out to 10 programs per day.
“Heung Bakery,” which presents edited versions of tvN’s various variety shows, is already popular, with 2.8 million subscribers, the company said.
