SK Bioland builds new sheet mask factory in ChinaCosmetics ingredient maker SK Bioland built a sheet mask facility in China’s Jiangsu province to capture the fast-growing cosmetics mask market in the country.
According to SK Bioland, a subsidiary under SK’s industrial film arm SKC, on Thursday, its new facility can produce 50 million masks per year. The facility will begin operations in July.

The move comes as China’s sheet mask market has been growing by 20 percent annually from a roughly 7 trillion won ($6.2 billion) market in 2016, according to the company.
By the early half of next year the SK subsidiary plans to add a natural cosmetics ingredient facility with 5,000 tonnes of annual production capacity in Jiangsu province.
