Taking care of business

President Moon Jae-in, center in the front row, poses with participants in the Korea-Singapore Business Forum at the Shangri-La Hotel during a state visit to Singapore on Thursday. About 150 businessmen from 81 firms and government officials from Korea and 150 Singaporean counterparts joined the forum. Participants from Korean conglomerates included Samsung Electronics Vice Chairman Yoon Boo-keun, Hyundai Motor President Chung Jin-haeng, LG Corp. Vice Chairman Ha Hyun-hwoi, and GS Group Vice Chairman Jung Taik-geun. From mid-sized firms were Ssangyong Engineering and Construction CEO Kim Seok-jun, Hyundai Group Chairman Hyun Jeong-eun, SPC Group Chairman Hur Young-in and Poongsan Group Chairman Ryu Jin. During the forum, President Moon stressed bilateral economic cooperation with a focus on future growth drivers and eco-friendly energy. [YONHAP]
