Fighting for their livelihoods

테스트

Employees of Jin Air, the budget airline of Korean Air, walk into a meeting room at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in Sejong on Thursday. They are petitioning the government not to strip the airline’s business license, which could cost Jin Air’s 1,900 employees their jobs.

The government is looking into canceling the license after Cho Hyun-min, the youngest daughter of Korean Air chairman Choi Yang-ho, was found to be a registered board member of Jin Air despite being a U.S. citizen. Under Korean law, foreigners cannot sit on the board of directors of domestic airlines. [YONHAP]
