Sunmi bounces back with September albumFormer Wonder Girls member Sunmi will return to the K-pop scene next month with a new solo album, her management agency said Monday.
The new album, “Warning,” set for release on Sept. 4, will continue a story that began on two previous singles.
In the two former songs - “Gashina” and “Heroine” - Sunmi painted an image of a woman in a lopsided romance who had to accept a breakup.
The two successful singles, released in August last year and last January by her new management agency, MAKEUS Entertainment, established Sunmi as a female soloist after her breakup with JYP Entertainment’s Wonder Girls.
A teaser image for the new album released on Monday features burning candles and roses in deep violet and red colors with the title “Warning” also printed in red.
