Minister of the Interior and Safety Kim Boo-kyum consults with central and local officials in the government complex in central Seoul to prepare for Typhoon Soulik’s landfall in Korea on Thursday. Weather authorities warned of strong wind and heavy rainfall from today as the medium-sized typhoon, the first to directly hit the peninsula in six years, is expected to pass Jeju Island and make landfall tomorrow, before weakening in the sea north of Gangwon Friday afternoon.
