Singer-turned-actor Koo Ha-ra met with police on Tuesday to discuss recent assault allegations that were made by her boyfriend on Sept. 13.
“I believe that it is not a matter of who hit the other first, which will be uncovered through the police investigation,” Koo said in response to reporters asking her if she admitted that she threw the first punch.
Koo, who arrived at the police station in Gangnam, southern Seoul, at around 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, had bruises and a compression bandage on her arm.
The assault claims were made by her ex-boyfriend, a hairdresser surnamed Choi, on Sept. 13. In an interview with Chosun Ilbo over the weekend, Choi claimed he was attacked by Koo.
Koo refuted the claims in an interview published by local media outlet Dispatch on Sept. 17.
This is the first time Koo met with police since the incident occurred.
