Korean delegation arrives for Asian Para Games

The main batch of the Korean delegation for the 3rd Asian Para Games departed for Jakarta on Tuesday.
In a send-off ceremony organized by the Korea Paralympic Committee (KPC) at Incheon International Airport, the athletes vowed to give their best and accomplish their goals.
“Every athlete worked hard for this Asian Para Games,” said Korean athletes’ captain Kwon Hyun-joo, who will compete in archery. “We’ll do our best to achieve our goal of finishing third [in the medal standings].”
Korea will be represented by 202 athletes and 105 officials at the Asian Para Games in Jakarta, which will be held from Friday to Oct. 13. They will compete in 17 sports and will try to collect 33 gold, 43 silver, and 49 bronze medals to make the top three in the medal standings.
