Kang Sung-hoon cancels fan event

According to his official Japanese homepage, the “KANG SUNG HOON Mini the Gentle FAN PARTY 2018 in TOKYO” has been scrapped for “various reasons.”
The decision came after Kang announced on Sept. 21 that preparations for the fan meeting may “not be made in time.” He added, “We apologize to all those who [were] looking forward to the event.”
Kang has recently been involved in controversies including allegedly embezzling fan donations which were supposed to be used for an upcoming video exhibition commemorating 20 years of Sechskies. He is also rumored to have been caught trespassing into his previous manager’s home and is allegedly in a relationship with the manager of his fan club.
Kang also canceled a fan meeting that was to take place in Taiwan last month, and fans have been complaining about his lack of explanation.
Kang is currently a member of the boy band Sechskies, but he will not be participating in the group’s upcoming concerts at Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Arena on Oct. 13 to 14.
