Seol Hyun harasser gets punished

A man who sexually harassed singer Seol Hyun from the girl group AOA via social media has been sentenced to six months in prison with two years of suspended sentence by the Incheon District Court, according to FNC Entertainment on Tuesday.

“In April, we sued a man who had been continuously sending her sexually humiliating and grotesque messages and videos through Instagram,” the agency said.

In March, the agency also sued two other people who had maliciously edited photos of Seol Hyun. They both were recently indicted for online defamation by the Uijeongbu District Prosecutors’ Office and the Daejeon District Prosecutors’ Office, according to FNC.

Others have also been reported by the agency for defamation, personal attacks, spreading false facts and slander.

“We will be taking strong legal action against all online criminal acts directed against our artists,” the agency added. “We will also work hard to protect the fundamental rights of our artists and improve problematic cyberculture.”
