BTS, Charlie Puth to perform
Global K-pop superstars BTS and popular American singer-songwriter Charlie Puth are teaming up to perform at the upcoming 2018 MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards (MGA).
According to media company MBC Plus and music production company Genie Music on Monday, they will hold a joint performance at the 2018 MGA, which will be held at Namdong Gymnasium in Incheon on Nov. 6.
Previously, the two artists have shown their interest in each other through social media. In February of last year, Puth liked a tweet of BTS member Jungkook’s cover of his song “We Don’t Talk Anymore” and later tweeted “Love this Jungcook,” misspelling the member’s name.
In March, Puth tweeted, “I really like BTS’s music,” and to this, BTS responded, “We really like Charlie Puth’s music.”
The two are finally coming together on stage at the 2018 MGA, an annual ceremony that honors K-pop acts based on Genie Music’s music data and evaluation by music experts.
