Local securities delegation to visit United States

A Korean delegation involving chiefs of major securities firms will visit the United States this week to explore innovative growth and seek investment opportunities, their association said Monday.

The 17-member delegation, including Kwon Yong-won, chief of the Korea Financial Investment Association (Kofia), and CEOs of local brokerage firms will embark on a five-day trip later in the day to Silicon Valley and Seattle.

During the trip, they will visit major U.S. financial investment entities such as Goldman Sachs and BlackRock, as well as research institutes and venture capitals including Google X, with aims to find suitable future growth models for the local capital market and seek destinations for investment.
