Jeon Hyun-moo donates to charity

Popular television personality Jeon Hyun-moo has donated 100 million won ($89.6 thousand) to the Community Chest of Korea to support single mothers.

“Jeon had long been interested in supporting single mothers, so he has sent the donations on his birthday,” said his agency SM C&C on Thursday.

This is not the first time Jeon has performed good deeds. In 2016, he donated 50 million won to The Korea Heart Foundation to support children suffering from heart disease. He has also participated in various fundraising activities and volunteering services.

Jeon debuted in 2003 as an anchor for the news broadcaster YTN. After he started working as a freelancer in 2012, he has appeared on reality programs as both an entertainer and a host. He is currently hosting MBC’s “I Live Alone” and “Point of Omniscient Interfere,” as well as KBS2’s “Happy Together.”

Last year, he won the grand prize at the 2017 MBC Entertainment Awards. Jeon is currently dating Han Hye-jin, a model and an entertainer. Both work on the show “I Live Alone.”
